Collingwood is an independent preparatory school, whose history goes back almost one hundred years to 1929. They started out as a Boys’ school and became co-educational in September 1991.
The famous artist Frank Dadd (1851-1929) lived at the Springfield Road site for 16 years from 1903 and his spirit lives on within Collingwood’s annual Art and Music festival. A plaque outside the front door commemorates his connection to the school.
